    Receiver compatibility on EDF jet

I am looking at buying the freewing 8mm EDF Avantei and was wondering if the Spectrum ar610 dsmx receiver will work sufficiently in it with my Spektrum dx7s ?

That should be plenty good for that plane, only reason one would need a 7th CH is if you want to do radio adjustment on the steering servo trim without messing with rudder trims

A 7th CH would be needed to operate an air brake like on the F-15 or any other function like jettisoning drop tanks or a bomb bay doors.
On my cessna I had set up the unused CH that would normally be used to control the retracts to operate the landing lights and now I am doing the same for the SR22 I am putting together.

Ah yeah very true, that's if you want those things. The brakes are very nice for short fields

I use ar610 rx on all my plane prop or jets...never had a problem with them

That's exactly the receiver i would use on that plane. 6 channels is perfect.
