    Hey guys

I ordered a Mobius Action Camera got the thing and it won't turn on. Followed the directions I found online for it and immediately plugged it in and charged it like it says until the green light goes out. Went to turn it on after the fact and it won't turn on, no blue indicator LED no nothing. Anyone have these and ever had any issues like this? Or any suggestions? Appreciate it!

Have you downloaded the msetup from online?
And if so and battery is charged, did you put the microdisk in the camera? If not, do so.

Here's what to do.....have your charged camera(You have done that I'm sure, even though you cant get a green light for 1 second, followed by a yellow(standby) Go to this video online, and the guy will walk you thru step by step in setting up your camera.  I had the exact same problem as you are having right now. Reason is, your camera isn't setup yet.  so go to this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFTlcRPMK2w
Watch it, and do exactly what he does....and Tah Dah!!!! it will work!!!
I just went thru this day before yesterday.  Frustrating at first.......

      Lon,

I gotta tell ya I LOVE ya!

I tried following everything that I could online last night, manuals, forums over at RC groups, youtube and nothing was working. Saw this and said what the hell I'll give it a try, now mind you nothing before was working I was getting absolutely no light from the LEDs, no nothing all last night and earlier this morning. Just followed the video you posted and whamo frickin' thing lit up and worked. Hopefully it stays working! plan on trying some cool ideas for videos pretty soon.

      So thanks again!

Great! Glad it worked for you too. Things went the same way for me too. Very frustrating for sure. Looking forward to seeing some videos by you.

            Hey Sean,
Yeah I'm glad too, really like the camera so far and I haven't really gotten into messing with the settings etc, going to take it for a few more flights and then I think I'm going to pick up at-least one more of them. Be cool to be able to get multiple angles of the same flight.

I also re-posted the video into that thread, somehow I missed that before, but will certainly post into that when I come up with new videos!

                RE: Mobius Action Cam

I love the Mobius camera. It is so compact that it fits anywhere. I bought this set here which allows me to quickly disconnect the Mobius from one mounting point on one plane and move it to a different mounting point, or to a different plane altogether in seconds.

Here is a quick video of a Mobius inside the cockpit of the upcoming T-45. Cutting in clips an inside cockpit view, and outer wing forward view, and underbelly rear view, etc, will help to spice up the normal "standing on the ground" video.

I love the Mobius . I use on my planes plus I put some Velcro on my hat and that's how I video all my fly . Only thing I changed in the settings was to set the time stamp on D/MM/Y .

                      Finally got the Mobius working!

After my aforementioned issues at the start of this thread it worked once and was really dead, turns out the battery was the culprit. My buddy found a replacement off some webpage, it shipped from Hong Kong and took forever but finally fired it up and got it in the air today. Looking forward to doing more videos with this one.

Hey SOB! It really does a nice job on video doesn't it...? I have one that I use on my DJI 450 Flamewheel quadcopter with a gimbal from HK. The gimbal was and is a bear to set up and I guess it's because of how light the camera is. I'm still having issues with the gimbal not staying as steady as it should. I've attached it to my Solius glider and it works well there. Lots better than my old 808 #16 keycam.

                            Greetings,

Has any one tried mounting the möbius under their plane instead of on top.
Will it allow you to flip the image so it's not upside down.

I have tried other cameras this way to avoid prop lines in the playback.
But I also had to mount the camera upside down.

Bill, one thing I did too, because I didn't have my laptop at the field to change the configuration, was, I started to record then mount it upright with Velcro on top of the camera. Then placed it on the bottom of the plane in normal position. Be careful, though, not to cover up both heat sinks.

The good thing is, that there is a second mode LED on the rear of the camera, so you can still see if it's recording.

If you're using Velcro, be sure to use the "good industrial strength" type. I flew mine on my 90mm F-86 at top speed and it stayed on very well.

Good luck with your new camera. It's fun to see your own plane from that vantage point.

                                      Greetings,

                                      Thanks Guys!!

I have to admit I'm pretty excited to start using this camera.

I have done the Go-Pro thing by mounting it on top of a bicycling helmet and wearing is while I'm flying but with it's fish-eye lens everything in the middle (unless it's directly in front of you) appears too far away to appreciate or follow. I know there are ways to change the lens/view-point on the Go-Pro but if I screwed it up I'd surely need a good lawyer!!

Therefore, I'm going with the Mobius!!!

Hopefully, it will arrive next week. I think I'll go with the helmet/hat-cam first.

I have Velcro on the bottom of the camera . If I want I can put on a plane , I use foam and rubber bands . The foam helps with vibration . Then I can put it on my hat if I want which is what I do must times .
