DX8 gear issue

Hey guys, this is probably a dumb question. I am getting my new Freewing F16 setup, but when I go to system setup in my DX8G2, the gear retracts even though I’ve already setup the landing gear switch. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening?

Yes it was a dumb question. I rebound the receiver and that fixed it.

I was taught to rest an aircraft on my knee or " out of the way" of the landing gear. My Viper retracts open when esc is energized. Doesn't bother me anymore.

Well luckily I had it up on the stand, but everything seems to work now
