A3-L on 4 ch Rx

I put an A3-L in my unflown Art-Tech Pitts with a 4 Ch. Spektrum Rx.  Without the MOD plugged in, the gyro has to always be on. I cranked the gain to full and shook the plane in all directions to be SURE the controls were correct. I turned the gain back down to 9 o'clock. It flew great.. so, I turned the gain up to 11 o'clock. It flew smooth as silk. It also made for much cleaner aerobatics. I guess if one didn't use the MOD connection in a 6 Ch. Rx, flaps and gear could be used. Just BE SURE the controls are correct and start with very low gain. Doc
