Futaba Transmitter with Admiral receiver?

Hello everyone! I’ve searched everywhere but can’t find the answer to this question. I’ve been away from this hobby for 15 years, and boy, has it come a long way.

Anyway, I just bought a Futaba T12x and an Admiral Rx10000 receiver from this site thinking they would be comparable. I tried to bind or link them with no success. Are they even compatable? If so, what steps should I be doing? I may have screwed the pooch on this order....

Admiral is a Spektrum compatible protocol - DSM2, DSMX, DSMP. Can you get a module for your Futaba that will recognize Spektrum? If not, then you're out of luck.

Do you mean T12K? That transmitter uses Futaba's T-FHSS or Futaba's S-FHSS protocols only. It is switchable between the two protocols. You need a receiver that is compatible with either of those protocols. An Admiral receiver will not work with that transmitter. You are pretty much locked into using Futaba receivers. MRC has a few compatible Futaba receivers available. Be aware of the protocol of any Futaba receiver you buy, not all Futaba receivers are compatible with all Futaba transmitters. Perhaps MRC will take your Admiral receiver back for credit towards one of these.

Futaba receivers are bullet proof. They would be my first choice in your situation.

Hobby King has some S-FHSS compatible receivers available, but I know nothing about their reliability.

Another option would be to return the Futaba transmitter and get a Spektrum transmitter which will work with the Admiral line of receivers.
