  • Flap End Point Noise

Have flaps set up on FMS P47. All ok on half and full flaps positions. Installed speed reducer lead between servo lead and receiver, and now I have noise in up and full flaps position. Ok I'm half flaps. Went to tx and tried to change end points, but still have noise. Any ideas?

Will your TX not allow flap speed settings? Seems to me that the speed reducer is causing a problem with zero and full flaps. What happens if you change the servo travel or servo sub-trim? Can that make the noise go away? Have you tried changing the ends points of the flaps so that the servo is further away from their end limits? Then you can get the flap back to “zero” or desired full flaps by adjusting the rod length or by using a different hole in the servo arm or the control arm.
