Will an AR636 safe select receiver off of an eflite carbonz/Parkzone T-28 work in an eflite 1.3m t-28 in order to provide safe select function in the 1.3m T-28?

Maybe. There might be some differences in the gains but that probably won't be a major issue. if there are any reversed servos, it will keep you from doing this without special programming.

First,Be absolutely certain that the receiver is oriented in the new plane exactly as it was in the original model. If you don't do this, you will crash your model.

Second,Test test test before you fly. With safe mode on, move the airplane up, down on each of the axis. Watch the control surfaces to make sure they are counteracting your movement. Rolling the plane left should raise the right elevator. You will notice that the more you roll plane that the ailerons will start to center. This is the bank limit feature of safe. As long as the ailerons are moving correctly, you don't need to go beyond that. Test the elevator and rudder too. They all have to be working and moving into the right direction to counteract your movement.as well.

If one or.more surfaces aren't right,.it may be that you installed the receiver in a different orientation than it was originally. If not that, then on the original model the servo direction was different than on the second. In that case you will need to modify the programming of the receiver. It isn't that hard to do, just extremely poorly documented. Best to find someone locally.to help with that.

I just realized something very important that might prevent you from doing this. The parkzone, if I recall has fixed gear, the 1.2 has retracts. It is common practice for eflite to use the gear channel for safe select. If they have done this in your receiver there could be a problem. Basically this means for you that either raising or lowering your gear could take you in and out of safe mode. You will.need.to Test this. You might find safe mode is on when gear is down and off when up. That's not terrible. Safe mode is more useful on takeoffs and landings. If it is the other way, that might be a problem for you.

Again this can be changed via programming and if you have a transmitter with more than 6 channels it isnt difficult. Still best to get a local person to help with programming
