I'm surprised nobody has answered you yet. I don't have this RX but I do use the Lemon equivalent. With the Lemon, the "recovery" mode is on a switch position, so think this can be done with yours as well. Just look in your TX's monitor and see which channel moves when you hit the "panic" button. Then go into your TX's channel assign/port assign and find where it uses the button for this function and then change it to a switch.
What I think you are asking is if this RX has something similar to Spektrum's "safe select". As for flying the plane while in recovery mode, I know this can be done with the Lemon. What it does is limit the bank and pitch angles when you use the sticks but on some other brands of gyros that I use, once in recovery mode, the sticks don't work. You'll have to determine this for yourself on the bench.

I have this receiver and, yes, it can be set to a switch. It's been a while, but if memory serves me right today, the instructions have you set it to the 'I' (bind) button for a quick 'save and go' type of thing. You can set it to a switch of your choice other then the 'I' button.Dynam; E-Flite; Freewing
