Binding dxe to valiant

Trying to bind a DXE to valiant. I get the ailerons elevator rudder and throttle to work. I can only raise the flaps by pushing panic button. Safe mode and asx3 not work. I Removed the bind plug before I turn the transmitter on. Any ideas would be great

Are you sure the DXe is compatible with the Valiant? In the product description for the DXe, the Valiant is not in the list of compatible BNF airplanes. In the manual for the Valiant, the DXe is not listed as a compatible transmitter.
