  • Eagle A3 Pro Gyro Stabilizer

Please help. I am installing this gyro for the first time within a warbird that is very difficult to fly. The gyro works fine in "Normal Mode", but when I switch it into "Trainer Mode", it mixes my controls so that when I turn my rudder to the left, my elevator goes down and vice-versa. It also makes my ailerons move to extreme R-up and L-down. I am using a Turnigy TGY-i6 controller and a Turnigy iA6 receiver. None of the modes work properly but for "Normal Mode". Since this plane is difficult to fly and I have had to repair it twice already, I really wanted to use the "Trainer Mode" offered in the Pro version of the gyro.

I wish I could help but without knowing exactly what you have done so far, it is impossible to guess what might be the problem. The only thing I can suggest is that you go through the instructions and pay particular attention to the steps involved in the set up process and what all the different indicator lights mean.
With any gyro, the first thing you must do is to ensure that the the transmitter sticks operate the control surfaces in the correct direction when there is no gyro and then to make sure that when in normal gyro mode, that the gyro response to all control surfaces are in the correct direction when you pick up the plane and move it around. To go from mode to mode in the fashion that you want, you must go through the sequence of steps in the selection process and make sure you stop at the one you want. Confirm this by the color of light you see. Of course, you must assign the desired switch on the TX to do what you want it to do.

Now setting up the Eagle A3 pro stabiliser - problem ,the manual gives two different descriptions of the LED colours in the set - up mode . Also after changing the LED to the mode I want the unit is NOT memorising the chosen Color / mode . Am I missing something ?

ZOHD STABILISER ISSUES - manual mode working fine but when switching to level / stabilised mode initiating a banked turn is virtually impossible as the servos immediately react & counter the stick input trying to maintain level flight . Turning up the gain helps only slightly - it might as well be called ( fly away ) mode in its present configuration. - help !
