  • xwave 800x400

I have been using the xwave 800x400 as a ground station mounted on tripod for my fpv flying and it is giving me fits. I have attached a clip of the video it produces. most of the flite is lost but parts are clear. I have checked my camera and my goggles and the xwave and we are all on the same frequency. I don't have this problem with my Fat sharks with a single antenna. Most of this flight in my FS was fine so I am puzzled as to what is going on. The unit has decent reviews. The clip was too big for the editor here so I put it on youtube https://youtu.be/LFEtW6HgLXk

Be sure to turn off the audio.

Update: Replaced the RH CP antenna (AXII) with a simple dipole antenna. Results in FatShark pretty much unchanged, good reception even a 1km out on 5.8Ghz. Reception with Xwave was better but still a lot of extended broken signals. Used an eachine Stingpad on the xwave. A second flight using the stock paddle was a bit better but not by a lot. Xwave works fine with my indoor whoop and its tiny dipole antenna.
