I'm new to RC. I have a lot of experience with scratch building free-flight. The hardest thing I'm finding about the equipment, is finding specs. The websites selling equipment show minimal or no specs. I purchased a battery charger and it didn't come with the right cable for my battery. Can't get the wire or terminal sizes. So I cannot find out if the EDFs I purchased, work. By the time I put the correct cable together, if one of the engines is no good, It won't be within the 30 days I have to find out.
I bought the engines first because the whole model is designed around the engines....which of course, I couldn't get very thurough specs on either.
...and of course, lots of items are out of stock too, very frustrating.
