The warning screen has locked up the transmitter

Hello guys, I just got a brand new Spektrum nx8 while setting it up I set some warnings in the program, after I turned the transmitter off and tried to turn it on again the warnings will not turn off and I cant get back in the system.

What can I do short of sending it back to Tower Hobby?

Did you do the "update" as soon as you got it? Is it even possible to update it now when it's locked up? (I've read about this on the other forum with a few examples of the NX.)
