Spektrum NX10 Bind Button

I have a Spektrum NX10 Tx, and my question is about the Bind button on the Tx. Is it only for wirelessly binding to a trainer? I've tried using the Tx Bind button on non-Spektrum receivers (Admiral RX600SP), but it doesn't work. I can bind to the RX600SP Rx by going through the Tx menus, but the button itself doesn't seem to work for binding to the Rx.

Maybe your bind button is broken or has been reassigned to do something else. I've seen NX10's easily bind to a RX in a plane using the bind button.
