Gyro movement /set up? A3-L

Hallo everyone! Im in a bit of a quandary about setting up the A3-L Gyro. I can't detect the tiny movement on the control surfaces, as I can with Eagle Guardian.
Does anyone have any suggestion for this part of the set up, please ( 73 year old eyes being used!)?

Turn up the gains to see the direction and then turn them down to where you want to fly it.

clip a clothespin on the trailing edge of each surface, to amplify the movement. or tape a toothpick, or whatever ya got on there.

That's great, Mongo - I'll do that! It will help my perception of the movement enormously, and I will use a light piece of card, painted black and white ( best combination colours to spot movement, it's why your peripheral vision is in monchrome, from the time when the big cats' name for humans was 'lunch'!) .
