  • GET SLOWER SPEED ON RETRACTABLE TRAIN

Hello pilots!!!! I recently purchased the VULCAN 4S freewing sports jet from MOTION RC. It comes with a retractable gear and my question is how to get the retractable gear to come out of its housing more slowly. I fly the plane with the TURNIGY radio station in its latest version with the AFHDS 2A protocol with the ER9X firmware. I passed the link to the transmitter https://hobbyking.com/es_es/turnigy-...2a-system.html.

The plane comes with a tricycle gear and I have it configured on two separate channels, on channel 5 the main gear with Y cable and on channel 7 the nose gear. Seeing that with the transmitter I have not been able to slow down the movement of the retractable train, I have ordered this delay module to see if I could finally do it. I am giving you a link to the delay module https://www.amazon.es/dp/B083LXRS25?...roduct_details haven't been able to do it with this delay module either, does anyone know how I can get it?

    greetings to all!!!

You can't unless you modified the retract unit itself. The retract unit is only looking for an "up" or "down" signal from your receiver. It does not read the rate, and cannot adjust the hardwired speed of the retract jackscrew drive motor.

Hello!!! Thank you very much for answering. So it can only be achieved by having and modifying the retractable train????

      grettings to all!!!!

If you open up the retract and add a resistor on the motor lead it should slow it down but may cause it to jam and not work as well.

Hello Evan!!!! Thank you very much for your response, I was hoping or at least had some faith that there was an easier solution to reduce the speed of the retractable train of my plane. Although it is true that I am aware that in this type of cheap retractable trains it is almost a mission impossible.

          Greetings to all!!!!
