  • Digital cameras for stills ?

    Im looking at buying the Mrs a camera for still photography ,under $500 ..which would be used for still photos as well as in flight photos...any opinions on what to get? was looking at the Canon Rebels

    Aerial photography. The size and weight of the camera is dependent of what aircraft you intend to carry it in, and also how you are going operate it. Do you intend to have a live feed back to a monitor on the ground for example. A lot of people use a GoPro camera. It's small, light and give really excellent results. I use one on a quad copter with a live feed back to a video monitor. You don't have to have the live feed back, it just means you can see what you are filming. The GoPro is capable of video and still shots.

          Martin may understand but I still don't! LOL! TS, do you mean the camera will never be airborne? Only used for ground to air still shots?

            thats correct..went ahead after reading numerous reviews and bought her a Nikon D3300
