If you choose to mess with the throttle trim, just be sure that the throttle cut position is consistent with it. You don't want to arrive at a situation where the motor starts unexpectedly when you come out of throttle cut.

Fair point, also the slack at the bottom of the tx stick may vary between one tx make and another and the throttle cut setup procedure relative to the throttle trim position may vary from one make to another. I do not fly IC but I guess setting trims for idle and then throttle cut is another story, not to mention failsafe settings!
Anytime I alter a throttle curve or throttle trim I re calibrate the esc. The moral is check and test everything including failsafe before heading to the flying field . I always have my thumb holding down the throttle stick before I release the throttle cut when I am either setting up a model at home or holding/carrying a live model at the field.

On Spek set throttle cut to 130 if you use low trim and 100 if you use center trim. I put all my models at center trim but thats a carry over from my IC days.
