  • Tactic brand transmitter repair

Hello. I have a Tactic TTX650 transmitter that needs some attention. I believe that the transmitter is no longer transmitting a radio signal. I put brand new fresh batteries in it. I have seven airplanes with Tactic receivers in them, that are no longer receiving any signal from the transmitter. Does anyone know if any businesses repair this brand? Thank you for any help that you can render!!!!!

I had a similar problem with my dynam detrum trans 7 or 8 years ago.
It. would not transmit beyond around 50 metres being a DIY guy.
I took the case apart,, and found the Arial wire had simply come off the circuit board.

Used it for another 5 years.,, hav now upgrade to spectrum... May or may not help,, but all the best

Thank you f4uausie for your response here. That is much appreciated. A couple of days ago, I, as you, took the back off the transmitter and checked the antenna wire. It is firmly soldered to the circuit board. I am guessing that the issue is somewhere else. So today, I went to turn the transmitter on, and now it wont even turn on. I guess it is finally time to "upgrade" also.

On another note, from your screen name and Geo, it appears to me that you live in Australia, in New South Wales. I have a friend that lives in Grafton, New South Wales and is very active with the Areomodellers New South Wales (ANSW) organization. We actually met on this site!! He always forwards me the latest ANSW Newsletter, and I in turn, forward it to my club members here in the U S A. Sometimes it is truly "a small world!"

So thank you again, and be careful in the monsoon / hurricane season there too!

Omg, that is waaaaaaay too bad about the demise of your AL37. That must have been an amazing plane and fun to see and hear in the air!!!! I do not have any EDF's myself, but there are some club members here have a few, however nothing as large as your AL37 was. I do not know if you have, or ever will, replace it but it certainly is one good looking airplane.

Hopefully all is well in your world.

          Regards and respect to you!

Since Tactic has been discontinued, you should also consider upgrading to another control system (such as FrSky, Spektrum or Radiomaster), along with new compatible receivers.
