Hello all,
I am a newbie, living on the Isle of Wight on the south coast of the UK. I have just bought a Heng Long TK 7.0 Challenger 2 for my 65th birthday. It has metal tracks and road wheels, metal gearbox with steel gears and 360 degree turret conversion, I ordered it from Toucan RC via Aliexpress and got great service. I also ordered a laser aiming device and a flashing beacon. The beacon I plugged into the infrared port and it works fine. The laser came with all the wiring to add it to the slip ring, which is going to take a while to get my head around, unless anyone has done this and can give me a few pointers?
I am going to add brake lights using the LED 6 port, which I assume is 'plug and play', I could add indicators (Turn signals) but I do not think these would look right. What I would like to do is use the port 'L10' which is switchable, to light up 4 lights as 'marker' or 'convoy' lights, (Scale accuracy is not a priority for me) Does anyone know the output of L10? and will I need to use resistors, or is it 'plug and play'? I will be using 4 x 5mm yellow LEDS at 2.2v each. If I need resistors does anyone know what value? Many thanks for any help with this, I will be very grateful. Thank you, JIm Elston
