I recently acquired a 1700mm FMS P51 Mustangs that had been assembled but never flown. The plane came with a lemon receiver with stabilization. I have no experience with this brand of receiver and was not sent any instructions with it when I received the plane. I have been considering the use of these receivers since there growing popularity. I need help as to how to set this receiver up and it's operation and adjustments. Clicked on a couple sites but it came up page could not be found. Any advice and help with this would be greatly appreciated.

I use this in a couple of my planes and when dialed in, the plane is rock solid. The gear channel is left empty so you can either turn the stabilizer on/off (using gear switch) or even better, assign the rotary knob to run the gear channel so you can dial in gain on the fly. You can use the BIND port (after you've bound it) for your retracts - just use an different switch to control it (I use the MIX switch for retracts). The gear switch is INH so you can control the gain with a rotary. If you only want stabilized or OFF, then just use the gear switch. If you do this, you'll have to go trial and error on multiple flights to dial in the gain. On rotary gain, set the pots to 12 O'clock. As you turn the rotary clockwise (you may have to reverse AUX3), the gain increases to the max amount you've set the pot. Most planes, you won't need more than that and in most case, you need less than 1/2 the amount the rotary can be turned. -

Thank-you sooner much xviper2. I really appreciate it. I may need to get back to you a little later once I bind the plane. What tx are you using. I currently have a dx6. Will I need to get another tx with more channels to operate it. As you can tell its late and I just got in and haven't been able to go to the sites yet. I use a DX8. I also have the DX6. Unfortunately, the DX6 will be problematic as the GEAR channel is used to turn the stabilizer ON/OFF. It is the Bind port that you plug the retracts into but that is controlled by AUX2, which the DX6 doesn't have. I also use the rotary dial on my DX8 for master gain. However, having said this, you can still use this RX but WITHOUT stabilizer and plug everything in like normal. You merely throw the right switches on the RX to turn off stabilizer entirely and use it like any RX. Had I known you have the DX6, I wouldn't have gotten your hopes up so much. Your better bet here is to get the cheap HobbyEagle A3-L for stabilizer. That one works quite well. Thanks Dan. Will do. Xviper posted some good instructions on the lemon with stabilization for me recently. The only problem is now I'm going to need another tx to take full advantage of the receiver. I have a dx6 and the receiver to use the stabilization needs at least 7 and my tactic 850 is slt not dmxs.Dewey lComment
