Have you considered carrying Lemon RX's?

I was taking an inventory of my planes the other day (not sure why) and noticed that besides the BNF planes I only have 6 Spektrum receivers, the other 15 are Lemon's.

I've got a good source that sells on eBay but if Motion were to carry them I'd buy them from you.

I have and use a few of the lighter six channel ones. So far, no problems encountered. And I just ordered a pair of the more expensive ten channel ones to play with.

I am a dyed in the wool Spektrum guy BUT the coin required to keep myself in Spektrum receivers often has me willing to consider other more inexpensive alternatives.

Used to be exclusive Speckrum user. 8 lemon RX receivers later, no issues. They are my first choice now.

I have been buying Lemon RXs exclusively for quite some time now. I've used the DSM2 and DSMX with satellite, in 6-ch, 7-ch with stab and 8-ch. I've also tried the ones with the "diversity" antenna and I WON'T buy those anymore. The antennae attachment point is very weak and one or both antennae can come off. Soldering is NOT easy and doesn't always ensure a good repair. With just one antenna, the thing won't range test beyond 20 feet.
Recently, they've improved the wiring they use on the sat antenna cable. Before, the connection at the plug has been weak. I also use several of the Lemon telemetry units and for the price ($44.00), it's a bargain compared to what you have to spend on Spektrum telemetry.

I have been using them for for the past two years, stabilized, and unstabilized, 6, and 10CH Diversity and standard/ with and without satellites... and have had zero problems with them. I highly recommend them and they are my go to RX of choice for all my planes that I'm using with my Spektrum DX9.

I would love to see Motion RC start carrying these.

I have the 6Ch ,7Ch and 10CH all with SATs ,I dont use the stabilizers thats in them..I do prefer the ones with the hard case though. Just ordered another 10CH for my f14 also. Used to use Spektrum as well, which I still use my DX9 , but since switching to Lemon Rx Ive had no issues at all.

I'm using the Lemon Rx DSMX Compatible 6-Channel Receiver (LM0027) with great success, I've got around 15 of them. This one retails for $9.95, there is a USA supplier on eBay that sells them for $15 shipped to your door. I'm using these in all of my Flightline planes, my EDF's and some others.

Been using them for a little over a year now with no issues. Got the 10 chan in my LX PBJ-1(B-25) and bunch of the 6 chans in another 9 foam and balsa warbirds. Before I switched from exclusively using Spektrum Rx's, I realized that for the 15 birds that have them it had cost me approx. $600. The other 10 birds have Lemons with a total expense of under a $150.

They are all I use, I buy them 3-4 at a time. They'll range check to 60 paces easy, often more. Three potentiometers on the Rx itself to preset gain on surfaces with a small screwdriver. Master gain on the roller knob for a DX8 (or similar) that you can adjust in flight. You can switch them on and off in flight from you Tx. You don't need a cable, app nor computer to "program" them. End pin or top pin option. Never, ever had a failure nor loss of signal. I use them in my tiny 650mm planes, and have the exact same stabilized receiver (with a satellite) in my 1600mm P-38. I have one in my Avios Sea Fury, and set it up for all seven channels, so I can drop the tanks.

Yeah, they are that good. Less than $20 a piece for a seven channel stabilized receiver, the size of a small matchbox. They are the bargain of the century, and VERY high quality...

Here's the one I use. They have many more, and are constantly developing new receivers.

FLTRI, we really need to fly together sometime, at some point.

How do find the DX8's roller knob for adjusting the gain during flight? Is the resolution very fine?

For MotionRC's safety if and/or when they may sell Lemon products, it may be good to look into the Lemon company to see if their products are FCC certified since MotionRC is in the states.

Lemon receivers are fantastic, especially for the price, and are well received by many. I'd say they're much better than the Orange by a long shot. I'm not sure why companies keep naming after fruits, but it's pretty classic. Soon, we'll have companies called Apple, Pears, Persimmon, etc.

Hehe, we already got "Apple". By tradition, "lemon" in the asian culture is know for it's beautiful, fragrant flower. They don't know about "lemon" being a negative connotation in western society.
I belong to a flying club where the head guy actually banned all Lemon products from his field because he didn't like the name, "Lemon". Thought they were inferior and caused crashes. He later relented when he checked the internet and realized that it was an outstanding product and most the people at the field just ignored him anyway and kept using them. Dumber than a bag of hammers.

Yes, we do. I'd very much like to put a face with a screen name. I'm pretty sure your flying skills are way superior to mine.;) Are you in California, or in Indiana?

The adjustment is certainly fine enough. It seems like a gimmick, but it's not. Many times I've taken a up an 800 in calm conditions, only to have the wind suddenly pick up, and blow the plane out of shape. No problem with the Lemon aboard, just dial in some more gain and let the gyro do its job. Or, if you have too much gain on a maiden and it's oscillating, you have the choice of turning the gyro completely off, or just back out some gain with the knob until it feels right.

A nice side effect of increasing gain, is it has the side effect of effectively adding Expo at the same time. I flew today. Staggerwing, 800 P-40 and Spitfire. I had the CG too far back in the Spit (flying a 3s, but put the battery in the 2S position. D'oh...) and it was twitchy as hell. I rotated the knob from 9:00 to about 11:00 It calmed her right down, and I just kept flying...

Here's a video I did awhile ago to explain flaperons on the RCG 800 thread. Its not really about the Lemon, but I did throw in a short gyro demo...

Well said T-Cat. It's their loss! Odd how for RC people some people insist on only using older tech, but you never see anyone booting up their Apple 2 and insisting that it's "better" than a modern laptop..

As for the lemons, I use quite a few of them with no issues. I run the 10 channel units w/sat on around 6 of my models. Cheap and reliable.

But you'll love the new Avacado 1000. For today's environmentalist. It's so green. And there's a dipping bowl next to the keyboard.

I'm using the Lemon stabilized Rx (6-ch, 7-ch if stab not used) on a couple of planes and it works great. The stabilization is very solid and "sharp" - after a maneuver (like a roll), it "snaps" to center stick almost with marching precision. When the gain is put on the rotary, it's very easy to change on the fly and can be turned off using the gear switch. I assign the retract to another switch (3-way). If the gain pots on the unit is not changed, very little rotation from the end point on the knob is necessary. The knob gives you 0 to 100% of whatever the pots are set at.
