You'll need a 5 channel in order to switch modes, (Stable, 3D, Off, ie a 3-pos switch) otherwise you will be 'stuck' in 'on' mode full time.

      Re: Eagle A3 Pro SE

I just bought the new Eagle 3L from Motion and I have a Tactic 650 transmitter and a Tactic 6 channel receiver. The gyro will work fine on my Flyzone Sensei as it only uses only four channels and you need at least 5. But if I want to use it on my FMS Corsair 1400 which uses 6 channels, I will need to upgrade to at least a 7 channel radio or better yet 8 channel which hopefully Tactic comes out with soon. The mode selection is a must if you want to control your modes with your radio. The remote gain control channel however is only needed if you want change the % of gain with your radio instead of manually on the gyro. It is not needed for the gyro to function. Good flying!
