A tradition here in Wyoming, albeit the four legged kind, but hey what the Heck!

Just polishing up my skills, then I'm going to Dave Scott's "One Week to Solo" course at 1st U.S. R/C Flight School in Shawano Wisconsin in May.  I'm taking BBD with me and will get to fly her there for the first time.  I've been so tempted just to say to heck with it and fly them, but I want to do it right as you can imagine, too many dollars invested, so it won't be long, then I've got all Summer to make up for it..........And they will!!!!

Also, my wife is taking the course, so how cool is that?

Yikes Gman!  You have better control than me. 3 1400mm Mustangs and not flown one yet.  But you having better control is a GOOD thing. May is just around the corner.  Polish the skills and confidence, and off they go into the wild blue yonder!!

Grossman.. Where did you find the older style Mustangs without the bubble canopy? By the way.. did you know the Ford Mustang was named after the P51, not the horse?! Doc

That's FMS 1400 Shangrilla that I got for Christmas,  did the paint job on her when I got the G79 airbrush.

OK you scale fanatics, ya gotta check this out. Was blown away by this modelers cockpit upgrade to an Airfield 1450mm P-51. I bought an extra cockpit for my FMS 1450 Marie and put a camera on a velcro bed that allows for changing the fixed angle as I desire but it doesn't even begin to compete with this persons mod. Check the attached video of the mod. SO COOL.

Grossman, you are quite the modifier. How can I best take off the canopy on my E-Flite P51D without too much damage? I have to do something with that flat faced pilot... not that there's anything wrong with being flat faced! He is, also, SO incorrectly placed. The pilot in a P51 sits very far foreward. Thanks! Doc

The age old question Doc!
I've wrestled with the BBD trying to figure out the best (easiest) way to remove the canopy because its driving me nuts not to be able to get inside and detail that sucker!
Same with Old Crow,  Shangrila, is just a piece of plastic glued to the fuse, so its probably straight forward cutting.

How about it guys, anyone managed to remove the canopy short of a flight 'mishap'?
Oh, by the way, HOLY S***!!!!! that vid is amazing!!!

OK, I am not a P-51 guy but, Holy Crap!!!
That was by far and wide the coolest cockpit upgrade I think I have ever seen!!
Hell, it's probably the flat out coolest upgrade I think I've ever seen!!!

Absolutely, knocked it out of the park!!
