Are the Forum Admins. on Vacation or What??

Greetings,

Hey guys, let's put down the coffee and take a gander at some of the postings containing Spam and/or inappropriate content now finding its way on to the forum daily!

I thought we had a hand-hold on this but, it seems our fliter had sprung a leak (SEE Communal Pictures in Motion RC General Feedback).
While a few have been removed, a few still remain and more are showing up.

I do realize and appreciate that you're most likely working on this but, it is frustrating to see these postings getting through.

Just trying to keep our forum appropriate.

I sent a message to the owners and in the meantime banned 3 spammers. Didn't know I could do that lol.

Hopefully on Monday the "owners" will plug it back up!!

The owners are aware of the situation and are looking into it. For now I'm just reporting these as spam or inappropriate content like the rest of you until instructed otherwise.

It appears we have people in China, Russia, India, who are likely paid less than $1 / day to come post spam on forums like Hobby Squawk. These are actual people signing up for accounts as opposed to bots. We've added some additional protections and will continue to add them as necessary. The spammers have likely created some accounts which are sitting idle ready to use to post their spam. Please continue to report these accounts and we will immediately ban the account and purge their spam. We are very sorry these people are doing this.

In these days of Cyber, well ........ everything, it's is truly difficult to keep out/block/deter anyone who seriously wants in.

Know that I/we will do all possible to remain vigilant on this and know also that I/we appreciate all of the efforts of everyone involved.
It's not easy because it's common knowledge that a perfectly secured computer would never run.

I agree completely they cannot be kept out. We all will have to be diligent about reporting them to try and keep this great forum great. I also appreciate all everyone is doing to get and keep them out. Man that was hard to say without using all the inappropriate expletives I would like to use in reference to these people.
