    FMS F4U 800MM CORSAIR v2 COWL REMOVAL?

Hey everyone I recently picked one of these up at an auction and I am going through it. All looks great so far but I can't figure out how to remove the cowl to check the motor screws and such. I heard they just pull off and are held on with magnets but I have pulled harder than I would like and it's not coming off? Don't want to bust her up before the maiden. LOL! Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Hi rcmcnutty, welcome to Hobby Squawk! I wish I could give you a definitive answer but I don't have that model...However, if you have heard the cowl is held on by magnets I would keep trying to pull the cowl off with good ol' fashioned elbow grease. Chances are the paint stuck in the factory and needs a little jostling to get removed. Good luck!

I am having the same issue with this model. Any further feedback on how to remove the cowling? I have pulled and wiggled but feel like I am about to tear it off of the mount.

The cowl does indeed slid off the fuselage
