Sun is shining.....little or no wind....Let's go fly!!!!!
Oh, and it's 25 degrees out....
Would I have to be concerned about the temp???   Do servo's or motor not like the cold?? :huh:

Lipos definitely don't perform well in cold weather especially below freezing. Might just as well derate its capacity by 50%. Electronics like Rx,Tx, motors and servos are for the most part not affected that is unless you are gonna be flying in Antarctic conditions(-50 degree F).

Thanks for the input. 
I did go and fly.  Only issue I had was some cold cheeks when done.  Had gloves on, and that was a little adjustment as far as feel of the controls.

I see no difference in outside temp if the battery(lipo) is 78 degrees or above at lift off.  Keep it in a styrofoam cooler, get to where you want to fly, put in and fly immediately.!!!

Same here. When I know it's going to be really cold in the morning, I put my lipos inside the house the night before flying to bring them up to 70's ambient temp.

Another little tip when you want to fly in super cold weather and get your time in......Micro wave a couple baseball sized rocks and drop them in your styrofoam cooler and batteries will stay warm for 3-4 hours.  You will see no real reduction in flight time....you'll get cold before your batteries give out!!

Indeed, LiPo's are surely the weak link when it comes to cold(er) weather flying.

I like to stack my LiPo's in an air-tight, insulated ABS gun case and keep it inside until it's fly time.

That is a smart move...never thought about that!!

One fellow I knew put his batteries in a glove box in his car with one of those football "handwarmers" he got from Academy and lasted all day long
