By the way, what size Dave Browns?  I have 3" DBs on my Pandoras and love them

My wife loved the white and red as well, maybe if I just keep buying red and white planes she won't notice!!

I ordered 2 1/2 inch Dave Brown Lite Flites threaded. With a little trimming they should fit. I'm working on the wheel pants mod and I just balanced it on my GP cg machine with a 2200 in it. Perfect! Just slightly nose heavy. Next the rigging. She's looking sweet. Good flying!

By the way, never argue with a wife who WANTS you to order a plane!

OD is a tricky color for sure.  Has anyone actually got the DB's in the Waco yet?  Just curious as to how much they helped on landing, bounce-wise.

            Hey Guys
            And Gal

I'm thinking of getting this Waco too. How does the plane do with maneuvers? Does it handle Cuban 8's, inverted, split S etc...

I'm starting to do more and more of these moves. The plain ol figure 8 gets a little boring

I have 2 1/2 inch DB's on my Roc Waco. A little trimming and their perfect so much better than the mfg. Haven't maiden it yet I'll let you know about the bounce.

                RE: Roc Hobby Waco

My little B***** better known as the Wacky Waco was being a pain in the pettute today, but hey, I got her in the air flipped her around the course a few times, even rolled her, landed, sort of, repeated this three times.  She was still being, well, lets just say her usual self.  On the last landing, she was making a weird humming sound, from the motor, so, took her home and checked this out.  Turns out that the motor mount was letting go again!!
Anyway, out with the epoxy/resin and glued it back on.
Now, considering that the motor was changing its angle of attack as I accelerated and decelerated, I'd say I did a pretty good job by bringing her home with no more than LG pants problems (SOP with the Waco)
Checked the balance of the prop and it was fine.  I have got into a habit of making sure she's got a balanced prop in her, just 'cause of the motor mount problem in the first place.

Hey guys, I picked up some 2" DB's in Billings today so they're going into the Waco.  Should hopefully solve some of the bounce in her.
So far, I love them on the Pandoras, I was telling one of the guys at the store about them as he hadn't tried them, think I made a sale!
Hopefully they'll be a little easier on the landing gear and the pants than the stock Waco tires.
BTW, not to try and change the subject here again, but I did find that if I epoxy/resin'd the little square brace on the L/G of the Pandora onto the strut rather than relying on those two little screws to hold it, that she can take some pretty good knocks without any damage.  Found out last night when the wind was a little too strong and she landed a little heavy ( as in dropped onto her gear form a couple of feet up, ok maybe three!) gave her a good inspection and she was fine!

Hey guys, an update on the Waco, I put Dave Brown 2" wheels on which work perfectly.  Re CG'd it and now she doesn't want any weight in the cowling.  I have a spare cowling so I'll use that one until I'm sure she'll behave herself.
