I'd suggest putting a Velcro strap around the battery, so it won't fall out if the canopy flies off. I found out the hard way; doesn't fly well with the battery in a cornfield. I have industrial velcro strips on the bottom of all of my batteries and in my planes (even on the battery tray in my Mustang). I used to have a V1 Sky Trainer that the battery cover came off, yep I learned the hard way about what happens when your battery "lands" before your plane.Flight Risk (Sean)

Well I still have not got the replacement prop shaft or the ESC for my T-28 (it will not work on 3s still works fine on 4s), but I got the receiver for it today so I brought it down and was messing with it. I installed the new receiver, and was checking over things just looking the plane over thinking about how I want to paint it when I noticed that my main gear are toe-in (wheels turned in toward each other). How do you adjust the main gear alignment, I do not see a grub screw on the retracts?Flight Risk (Sean)

Going back to your unboxing video and the question you threw out concerning the beacon wires. They weren't cut, Dynam does not put connectors on the lights in most if not all their birds. Also the LED's are not 4-6v lamps but are 2.5v and are basically crap. I ripped them out of my Waco and put FMS lites in.
On the repaint, what is that color and are you going for a racing scheme cause from a scale perspective have never seen that motif?

Its gloss black, I was not really going for any certain look, I just felt the plane looked cheap, half done in the white. My wife and I were talking I was going to paint it to look like the picture below as I am a Marine but the wife wanted to keep the red, long story short she won on how it got painted. Honestly I like the way it looks; it is not "scale" but it gives the plane attitude.Flight Risk (Sean)

I had never seen the VMF version. That is a damn good look. To be pretty honest here, you should've stuck your Marine chest out and stuck by your guns and honored that VMF-323 livery. Get those red Navy trainer tips off that model and do yourself a righteous Marine T-28. You asked what we thought so that's my input for ya :P

So I have been on RCG talking to a guy who has one of these and I have decided to mod mine to fly on the FMS 1400mm 4250-540kv power plant. Using FMS 1400mm T-28 prop and spinner.
Here is what you need to do it, and look right,
FMS 4250-540Kv Motor; part number: SU121 FMS-Motor-4250 KV540
FMS 70A ESC; part number: FMS-ESC-70A-5A-SBEC
FMS 1400mm FW190 motor mount; part number: MM121
FMS 1400mm T-28 spinner; part number: MI105
FMS 1400mm T-28 prop set; part number: 1.4M-T28-MI107-RED
FMS 1400mm T-28 prop shaft; part number: SV126

Sorry - I just don't get this one???
$159 for a Dynam T-28 plus $112 in FMS parts to upgrade it for a total of $271. For $28 more you could get the FMS T-28 which has a 5" larger span, a lot better gear/etract system and it has the 580kV motor too not the 540........oh and flaps are standard not optional and has better foam molding than Dynam. Lastly there are nav and landing lights on the FMS too.
Totally bewildered on this move other than your having buyers remorse after going the lesser plane route initially.Warbird Charlie

I never thought about it honestly. But I already had the ESC and the motor so the last little bits were not that bad to get, but you are right I guess I should have just went the full monty and got the FMS version. Hind sight is 20/20 I guess lol!Originally posted by OV10Sean,

Ryan, or anyone for that matter; I am setting up the CG on my plane, and I am confused. The "manual" says the CG is 80-85mm from leading edge at the wing root, the website says it is 70-75mm from the leading edge at the wing root. Where do you GC your T-28 at? I really don't want to maiden this thing without the correct CG right now with the 4S battery at the back of the tray I am nose heavy at both positions 1 less than the other. I do not want to add weight to the tail until I know for sure. The possibilities of ending up tail heavy is only 15mm +/- apart. I know it is only 5/8 of an inch but I just want to be positive.Flight Risk (Sean)
