    I have an issue, my right main retract is not retracting all the way into the wing. Has anyone else had this issue? if so what was your fix?

      I got a chance to maiden my T-28 this weekend, needless to say things did not go well. On taxi I noticed that the plane was "dog walking" to the right; the main gear is not aligned properly, wheels are slightly turned to the right forcing the plane to do a side ways walk down the runway. Figuring I could counter this with left rudder I decided to fly it anyway. Bad decision number 1. As I slowly throttled up to take off the plane moved more and more to the right side of the runway to the point where I pulled up with out enough air speed. Bad decision number 2. At this point the plane was flying straight at a bush so I pulled up more to miss the bush. Bad decision number 3. The combination of low airspeed high angle of attack and pure panic the plane tip stalled rolled over and went in inverted breaking the canopy, my FMS propellers, and scuffed up my vertical stab. wing tips, and cowl. I came home with my tail between my legs and removed the gear out of the retracts and tried to re align the mains to straight but where the gear legs were ground to accept the grub screw is off the gear will not align straight. Oh well I ordered the parts to fix it including new gear hopefully the gear has the flats ground in the correct position for proper alignment and I will try to fly her again when I get my parts some time next week.

        Sorry to hear of your bad experience. I am building one now and hope all goes well. I have had several of these and all flew very well. I lost the last one because I think my receiver or ESC failed. In other words, I have no idea why I lost control of the plane as I had flown for many times before this incident. Good luck with the repairs.

        While watching your video, I could see that your right main was slightly bent. I did an upgrade as well to mine: I took the motor from my Dynam P47D, in which I upgrades to a G25, and put the Dynam P47 motor in the T28. It was a perfect fit. This motor is more powerful than the one in the T28. I used a Mantus 65 ESC and installed the flaps using the servos from my SDB. I am considering using the e-flight .15 retracts , although I have had no issues with the ones in the T28. I ripped out the light and used the ones from the SBD. It really look great with working lights.

          I am going to use the lights out of the Skytrainer 182 on mine, and yeah the right retract is giving me issues, does not retract all the way and what not. Thing that sucks is I did not fly the plane til this weekend and Motion will not replace the defective retract. Something about all the replacement parts they have sent me, well I say if you stop sending out defective stuff you would not have to replace it. *EDIT* I guess no one "has" to do anything but that retract issue, and the ESC that was fixed at the warehouse and returned with the statement that "the ESC works fine it must be your batteries"; when the batteries were brand new batteries that I bought with the plane, has left a sour taste in my mouth.

            Pull it out and see if it is too far in or not far enough in the servo. I had this problem once and it was in too far in the servo. I have and extra that I would be happy to give to you. I will even pay the shipping. Okay!

              I am replacing them with units from hobbyking and going with oleo struts I have decided. I figure since I am this far into this plane I may as well go all out.

                  There will be some mods needed to get them to fit into the wings but I think these are what I am going to use, mainly because of all the weight I have added to the plane.
