F22, I’m sure you’ve seen the mods in more detail on the AT-6 post. 4s really lights this airframe up but it still flies great slow. You can always adjust the CG to suit your personal tastes. This airplane has become my personal favorite beater airframe. Not that I abuse it but I like to fly it regularly given it’s a taildragger of reasonable size and cheap compared to other models I operate. well I think its odd that they reduced the price on the fms fw190a and not the rest of the line. would be funny to have the old fw190 for sale for 320 and the new one for 360. I also know that the wild boar's (mostly fw190) were the night time eyes of Germany? I don't know if there were five

What motor did you end up using in it?

Due to the larger airframe and slightly added weight of the AT-6, I have pulled both stock esc and motor out. I installed a 60amp Turnigy Plush esc with a FlightLine 3648-880kv motor and will run those on a 4s 4500mAh battery. I can now also use a 12” prop to help get around the big cowl. The airframe is plenty big enough to handle it all and any added weight will be welcome on windy days. Don’t know if any of you have weighed the stock spinner on this plane but at 2.5ozs it’s another bandaid to add nose weight flying a small 3s system on what should be a 4s bird.
Ill use the stock motor n esc to power a smaller model.

Amp tests with a 12x8 prop

20amp 1/2 throttle
36amp 3/4 throttle
55amp wot

I think I’ve run aground with all the nebulous clues guesses and now lean toward wishful thinking.

Seeing the images from the wreck of the Lexington make me wish for a big Devastator. Just be nice to see something different rather than Corsairs, Mustangs, and all the other regularly modeled warbirds.

Lexington was lost in the Battle of the Coral Sea in 1942 and sank with 35 aircraft on board.
Water pressure during her plung swept the aircraft on deck overboard.
They are laying on the sea floor around her wreckage.
Devastators and Wildcats were used at the beginning of the war and that’s what we’re seeing here.

Had they been aircraft that were dumped overboard after the war we’d be looking at 1945 ... Corsairs, Hellcats, and Avengers.

Reasoning is it's not an EDF, many PR versions had 4 vertical and one oblique cameras for a total of 5 "eyes", or you could read Mk.VI's or VI's or VIII's version as 5 iii's. Hows that for logic! personally I'm hoping it's a FB Mk.VI version. We desperately need a new accurate large Mosquito. Put me down for at least two so I can have a bomber as well as Fighter Bomber version.

I am just hoping there are more 2m super scale releases. I know we need planes of all sizes for cost and transportability, but I do hope the upper end of the model size is more like the FW A-10 and B-24 wing spans.

I was thinking along the same lines. Frost's "The road not taken" could with a little bit of imagination portray DeHavilland's choice to "take the road less travelled" when they developed the Mossie (mostly from wood...) without any request or specification from the Air Ministry.

Also "finicky" and "I took the road less travelled" could indicate a more exotic bird. But it would also need to sell in numbers so I doubt it will be extremely rare.
