Yep I did it, after 6 flights about 10 minutes each I got disorientated and put my plan in a nose dive and couldn't pull up in time. Quite the impact, tore the battery out and flung it 5 ft from the crash. Not sure how it happened. As many of you might know things got real fast in a short time. Going over things in my head I thought while going down field the aircraft was a bit slow to respond but maybe that is me over analyzing things post crash. When I was in the dive maybe I should have let off the throttle and pulled back. I'm thinking I hit the throttle and didnt give the plane enough time to respond.

But, with some leftover EPO glue and a little painters tape to help hold things in place, I think it's salvageable. The repair was a bit tacky this morning. We shall see! I do have replacement parts in my shopping cart at Motion if things dont go as planed.

That is what trainers are for!

    Hey XF

Sorry to hear about your mishap. Its all part of the hobby. Like a lot of people have said on this forum...Every plane has an expiration date on it Lol

Hope you can get it fixed and flying again

Good luck with the repair job, these foam planes are extremely tough!  The trick is to get fewer and fewer major repairs!

The good news is that its possible to bring these things literally back from the dead.  Pandora 1 has been on fire and she's still flying, she's my go to plane for a relaxing time now.  Pandora 2 lawn darted on me last year as well as a mishap we had a little while ago where is had an argument with gravity and lost.  Out with the gorilla glue and epoxy/resin and she's good as new.  Old Crow ripped her landing gear right off on her second flight due to a stupid old guy mistake.
      Thanks to some filler:

      Foam tack
      http://www.motionrc.com/beacon-foam-tac-glue-2oz/
and a new servo for the gear door, a new retract on one side and a new strut.  Some sanding and a lot of patience, she'll be ready for the skies again!
Just waiting for everything to arrive, all of the hard work is done, just waiting for the gear doors and the strut.

The rebuild is going better than expected. Had leftover glue from the assembly to fix it. A little painters tape to hold it interposition and it looks good to go. I also found the rear stab to be out a 1/4 of an inch. I think I did this during assembly. I went back to the directions and it never called out checking the dimensions so the stab was a bit crooked. Evened that out and then ran a bead of glue on both sides and now it is firm. Checked the deflection and it looks like there is a bit more deflection now. Maybe it is me. I need to get the wing pins back. Took one to work so I could make another as one was ejected from the crash. Should be airborne again Thursday at the earliest.

Hate to admit it but I had a bit of fun trying to figure out the repair, not that I want to make repairs often.

Well after several more successful flights this happened. I don't think my inputs are getting to the plane in time if there is something  going on. I went to bank then put in some stab movement to bank and didn't get any bank and all stab, then the ailerons kicked in. Maybe time to upgrade from the RTF controller. No damage this time.

I don't think that show finds its way down here to the lower states.

                              Sounds interesting though.
