    G'day Grossman,
Apparently Kenneth Moore used to joke that anyone could walk like that if there was too much starch in the under pants.
He was great in A night to remember [Titanic].
He and Sir Douglas became very firm friends.
It is also interesting to watch Sir Douglas in his 'This is your life' episode as well. No spoilers you need to watch and find out the story on the Bf109. Interesting indeed.
    Regards and respect
    Daryl

Thanks Daryl, I started to watch it, but the wife (Duty) called!
He' was quite the guy. I just found "Fight For The Sky' on Amazon, written by DB himself, so I had to get it. I have Reach For The Sky as well, had it for decades!
Kenneth was also in Battle of Britain and The Longest Day ("My grandmother used to say, anything mechanical, give it a good bash!")
One of the outstanding British actors!!

P.S: Finished watching This is Your Life for Douglas Bader, so cool, like a whos' who of the Battle of Britain!! And your right about the Me109 story, too cool, but in the pic there is a German Officer with his pistol out.......

I like most all the Warbird movies but Fly Boys is my favorite one since it takes place during WW1 and I really like seeing biplanes fly!

I seem to remember once or twice mentioning I'd love a 1400-1600 nicely done spitty.... ;)
Snap that up in a heartbeat.

Not the classics and it is CGI but I really enjoyed the dogfight scenes in the recent Red Tails...

The old classic Hell's Angels I think was great. I am partial to the Aviator too. I always laugh when I see the rocketeer.

That's why I also like the "dogfight" series as one of my favourite docos. The animation sequences are just awesome. :)

I was thinking that myself, Dynam has a Spitfire Mk1 out now and they have a Hurricane as well, but in 1200mm, maybe flightline will come up with a decent size Spitfire or Hurricane. Still hoping for a decent sized ME109E as well..

Yeah the dynam one is the first one I've liked that seems to have got the scale shape right (for a change). If the dynam was bigger, that would do fine. But pretty much my whole air wing is 1400-2200 and I like the bigger birds. Im amazed after years in the hobby, that no one does a nice spitfire. It's been proven to me time and time again from the different threads and forums it's still one of the most popular warbirds out there. But no one does one anymore... ??? The fms spitty was just horrible. Horrible looks, horrible scale, and from what I've read, horrible parts. But it's the business thinking that's got me stumped. Why does no manufacturer believe a spitty is a sure fire way to a nice profit line on a RC model?

I know this isn't a movie but I always have enjoyed the Black Sheep Squadron on TV. Always liked the Corsairs!

Yeah, I totally agree! The Spitfire was the iconic British Fighter of WWII, and lets remember she was top of her class from beginning to end, which very few Fighters could brag about.
But from a business perspective, I would think that the Spitfire would fall into the same class as the Lightning did. A popular warbird, but not a popularly produced kit at a decent size. And yes, it definitely needs to look like a Spitfire. That's what I didn't like about the FMS P40E with the funky L/G or the Freewing Old Crow with the two bladed prop. Now the Dynam looks the part, but with the winds we have out here, anything less than 1400mm is a chore.
What self respecting Englishman (read, "member of the Commonwealth")
would not jump at the chance to include a 1400mm (+)Spitfire to his or her collection, down right unpatriotic!!!!

Couldn't agree more. ;) and wind is a big factor in Perth, apparently 3rd windiest city in the world. That's just another of the many reasons I prefer my planes big.

totally forgot about "piece of cake" a 6 part series about a spitfire squadron during the battle of Britain. 5 spitfires and a few buchon 109s make some interesting footage. i got a real kick out of Moggy and flash.

So many excellent war movies where aviation plays a big part. I think most people will agree the Battle of Britain is one of the best. Interestingly this was the first movie they successfully used R/C model aircraft in the flying scenes. Many more came after this one.
