    Legend Models 83" P-38 Lightning

This was my first non-foam P-38. My buddy built her for me and I've added some scale detailing. Definitely a sport scale mold, but she still looks the part and I love the size. This used to be the VQ for those who know of that manufacturer.

Flight performance is typical P-38: Outstanding. She carves through the sky beautifully. She's 21 pounds and here's my setup:

    2x Dualsky 470Kv motors
2x Master Airscrew 16x10x3 counter rotating props (rounded tips down to 15.5")
    2x Castle Edge 100A ESCs
    2x Admiral Pro 60C 5S 4000 mAh
    20A Pro Amp BEC
    Spektrum AR9020 9ch rx
HS-5485HB servos for ail, elev and rudder
    HS-77BB servos for flaps
Detrum 9g servos for main gear doors
HS-55 servo for nose gear door
    JR MatchBox Servo Matching/Power System
2x Robart #670 1/2" dia Straight RoboStrut (main struts)
    #663L 7/16" dia LH Offset RoboStrut 3 3/4" - 4" (nose strut)
630RSE 90 Degree HD Mains RoboStrut Electric 24LB (electric retract system)

Took her out today as the rain finally stopped and the sky opened for what feels like a taste of Spring. Here's video:

I just noticed how well the sky in the video matches the background in Hobby Squawk! Gotta love serendipity! :)

This is a great Plane Aros, but I have to ask, do the wings come off, 83" is tough to move!!

Indeed they do! Not unlike the FlightLineRC P-38...The outboard wings come off for transport. Otherwise there's no way I could have this bird.
