  • My New Dynam WACO

I've been working on this one for a couple of weeks now. For some reason I kept getting thirsty for an ice cold soda and had to take many, many breaks;-)

The actual Pepsi biplane is a Travel Air, so I have taken some modeler's license using the WACO as a stand in. However, they both have that classic '30s look, so I'm happy with the results so far.

It is wrapped with Oracal vinyl and I have added after market LEDs for the landing and nav lights. I made a canvas cover for the front cockpit from tissue paper, not sure how well it will hold up. It is just mocked up for these photos, I still have a lot of detail work to do, like adding rigging and the extended exhaust of the prototype.

Hope to maiden it later this coming week.

    Jim

She's certainly beautiful. Where did you order the oracal with the print.

          Thanks guys.

I order the vinyl on line at US Cutter, you can order by the foot, so you only order what you need. The decals are from Callie Graphics.

Thanks Jim. You have given me a great idea for one of my nitro planes.

I finally got some flying shot of the new WACO. A flying buddy at our club took the "from the ground" shots. I used a Mobius for the on board photos.
