I kinda like it. It's like a giant HobbyKing Tundra in many ways. I love my Tundra but this thing's just too big for me at the moment. Having just gotten rid of the CZ Cub, I'm not inclined to get another one like it in that size. Now, if it were a Twin Otter, I'd make space for it. This one is just too "common". Someone else beat them to the punch. Too much competition now in the giant bush plane category.

My Buddy Dave Beaver at the Wings and Wheels on Saturday, behind it is the Flyzone Beaver. Dave has a detailed cockpit and doors that work with handles. He has floats for it too and an awesome dummy radial engine.
Beat that FMS!!

I will tell you what is wrong with FMS, they are owned by Horizon now; and their bottom line is profit and not customer service. I use to be a big fan of FMS products and some of their original (V1) war birds and these are far better quality than the ones they make now. I just up graded the motors and retracts and keep on flying them.Comment

The F7F Tigercar, P-61 Black Widow or A-26 Invader are my top favorite twin engine planes.
I have flown both the Tigercat and the P-61 in War Thunder and they are a joy to fly into battle.
The A-26 Invader is one of those lesser known warbirds that was so useful that it was used in WWII, Korea and Vietnam because no other plane could replace it for its dedicated role. It was a fast aircraft capable of carrying twice its specified bomb load of 6,000 lbs. It was literally flown until the wings fell off due to airframe fatigue!
With specs like that an RC A-26 could easily carry a large battery for longer flight times.Comment

The VQ one is nice, but I would still love to see an A-26B from Flightline or FMS. Then, it would also be go back and mod the molds to release as a Vietnam era A-26K as well. Also, for those interested, FMS announced the price point for the Beaver on their Facebook page at $350 PNP, floats sold separately.Comment

Well, I had to replace one of my Flyzone Beavers. Just about that time FMS releases V2 of their 2000mm Beaver. With some visual improvements, like the see through cabin, I decided to give it a shot.
Like the Flyzone model it replaced, I wrapped it as the ship restored by retired Maj Gen and astronaut Bill Anders.
I can't compare it to the V1 of this model, but overall, I am pleased with the quality of this plane.
I'm looking forward to a break in the weather so I can maiden my new Beaver.

Today turned out to be maiden day. It was dreary and overcast with temps in the mid 40s and winds at about 2 mph. However, the forecast for the next few days is dropping temps with rain and snow mix, so today started looking pretty okay.
I'm happy to report that this plane flies great. It took a couple of clicks of elevator and aileron to have the plane flying straight and level at half throttle. It is absolutely one of the smoothest and most stable planes I have flown. I used Admiral 5000 six cell batteries and after 6 minutes of mixed throttle flying I still have 63% of the battery left. The plane has plenty of power to climb or get out of trouble, but looks really great just poking around at half throttle, doing touch and goes or slow, low flybys.
I was alone at the field so no really good photos, but I did get some on board video using a Mini Mobius. It is pretty boring stuff, but it shows how stable the plane is.
