I used the power 360 in my Aeroworks 50cc Checkmate with a Fiala 25x10. I plan on installing a latching system for the canopy hatch so I don't need tools to change the batteries. I'm looking at the new extreme flight 60cc for my next project, perhaps the top model rc 93" composite Zero.

The one tip I have is be sure to use anti-spark connectors such as the Amass AS-150 7mm bullets or an arming system like the ones made by Emcotec. Essential for high voltage power systems. I really liked the anti-spark arming plug from Maxx Products but they stopped making the heavy duty ones with 10awg. Grrr

I've been really happy with them. I also use one in my Hangar 9 Inverza 62. The only annoyance for me is the need to drill your props for the 4 bolt mount. The Hacker Q80 and Extreme Flight 60cc motors don't have that. The Hacker is just too spendy for me but the EF is the same price as the P360.

That's great F106...Do you still have the Kadet? That's amazing, the power from an old 1400mm T-28...Nice! The Hellcat and F-106 would be sweet projects! I hear ya on space, etc. We are limited by circumstance that's for sure.

If I go through with the H960 Corsair I would want to add a top end sound system like Benedini but the added weight could be an issue....

No, I don't have the Kadet any more. When I was learning to fly airplanes at college, one of the guys at the campus RC field gave me that Kadet to start out with. Another gave me a mini Telemaster to train on, and I can't say enough good things about the Casa De Aero RC Club folks. They really loved seeing students get involved, and were willing to give both time and planes to help us out. I passed both airplanes on to other students after I started moving up to warbirds. There was not that much space in the freshman dorms, so I couldn't keep them if I wanted a warbird. I think one of the students ended up putting an autopilot in the Kadet, and used it to test sun sensors for satellites and horizon based auto-leveling. I definitely miss the Telemaster though, flew that in 25mph winds and it took it like it was nothing.

Oh God, Oh God, please say there's a 2000mm foam warbird line in the works

+1 on a 2000mm Corsair. By the time you guys develop it, everyone will be accustomed to flying 12s systems so no one will quibble about the start up cost. That should be the "next big thing" - corner the market on that class of warbirds too!! By the time you get the Hanger 9 electric built, motion/freewing could have a new plane designed. The difficult cost with the hanger 9 build is swallowing the cost of the undercarriage; $600-700 just for retracts and wheels is steep. That could be a target price for a mega foamie! Lest we dream.

IF you pursue the Hanger 9, you must do a comprehensive build thread.. so we can copy you!

That's the thing, FW/FL/MRC are coming out with innovative, awesome models at a dizzying pace! You're probably right, by the time I invest and build the H960 Corsair they would probably shock me with a 2M PNP Corsair! One can dream. :Silly:

Hahaha part of the reason is I was over seas for most of that time and just didn't have the opportunity to keep up with the plane. I just keep thinking since I bought the flight line how awesome it would be to roll out both birds together side by side on to the flight line and light up the big bird and send it up while I let my buddy fly formation with the FPV rig in the FL. The video that would be... Absolutely EPIC!
