  • FMS 1700s coming with 360s now?

I read on the RCG that some are getting the 1700 P-51 with the 360kv motor in it...is that what they are coming as stock now? if so, is that also with the Corsair and P47?

I just checked a few of the 1700mm FMS warbirds on Motion's site and they are all still listed with the 300kv motors. I had also heard that since many people were putting the 360kv motor into their Corsairs, FMS started to do it from the factory, but I have no evidence of that. If you go to FMS's own site, same there. Nothing has changed. All 1700mm warbirds are still being sold with 300kv motors. Don't know why some on RCG is getting theirs with the 360. Maybe "whacky tobaccy".

It happened with Freewings 64mm A10...it started getting the 12 B fans, though it still listed it as getting ,think it was an 8 or 9 ..but the change wasnt reflected on the website for a while anyway

Could be they're too lazy to change the spec page. If it's true, it's a nice surprise for those buying these planes.

Odd. They are listed as having the 360kv on the Horizon website though.

hmm, thats sounds interesting about the future upgrades...dont see how the gear for the F7F would relate to the P51 though

Look under the spare parts tab. The 360kv is the only one listed, and is labeled as a P-51 motor. I don't think they've updated the description yet.

TS.......retracts and gear are separate items. The retract from their forthcoming F7F could possibly be used on the Stang if they design upgrade it that way, it's the oleo/strut that defines the undercarriage difference.
Case in point....... the retract presently used on the 1700 P-51 is also used on the 1700 P-47 with each having it's own gear/oleo set.

The 1700mm Mustang I recently purchased from MRC has a 360kv and the manual has 360kv written in on the spare parts list.

Fms confirms it. No ad or instructions that I have found are updated or web site. But the kv360 comes with new ones. If someone buys one with the 300kv, then it's old stock.
