Re: What's in your hangar ?

I'm with SHopper. I got a shop full of tools and equipment and all of my wall and shelf space are full of planes. I did a quick count and stopped at 20 flying planes. They range from a micro quad copter to a Hanar 9 Fokker D-VII and a soon-to-be completed Short Stirling bomber (72" span). About half are ARFs and the rest are scratch built or kits. The only foam planes I own are the two EDF Stingers purchased a couple of weeks ago from MotionRC. I don't fly glow anymore so everything is quiet and clean.

                    Greetings H64,

I know, right?? I'm definately one of those, <i>if two advil are good, 16 must be better </i>kind of guys.

After looking board around the house one day, my wife made the mistake of convincing me that I needed a hobby......So, Let me just say that I won't have to paint my garage walls for a long time because you can't see them anyway. <smiley image="smiley_good.gif"/>

I do incorporate many of them in to my aeronautics curriculum and use them to introduce my students to the hobby. AHHHHH, who I'm I kidding.... their MINE...... ALL MINE!!!!!!! BwaHaHa!!!! <smiley image="smiley_evil.gif"/>

While we're on the subject of gross indulgence, I also have a few rockets. <smiley image="smiley_beam.gif"/>

And a Telescope big enough to sleep in....

Hobbies Honey??? Oh, I've got hobbies!!! <smiley image="smiley_good.gif"/>

Whereas, I've got as many telescopes as he's got rockets! *LOL* Didn't get my 'handle' from R/C'ing. <smiley image="smiley_grin.gif"/>

Nice Dobsonian Bill....but be careful. A friend drug his 16" out to thermally stabilize a couple hours before observing, & someone called 911 & reported he had a mortar set up in his driveway. <smiley image="anim_crazy.gif"/>

Re: What's in your hangar ?

Yeah, I wondered about that when I first saw your handle.

My wife likes to ask, "What does the circus do, now that you have their cannon?"

Some years back I was vice president of the Nevada Astronomical Society and at that time I primarilly used my 20" Discovery sonotube dob with an Orion ST-120 mounted on it for a finder - talk about looking like a launch system - I prefer the Obsession these days because it's computerized - anyway it really freaked out the state troopers whenever I tried to cross the Hoover Dam to go into Arizona to observe from the Crand Canyon after 9/11, and having that bad boy lying in the back of an enclosed trailer.

It was always kind of a laugh to watch their hands slowly move towards the pistols as I swung the trailer door open.

Looks like an ABM unit ready to intercept any of those pesky Hamas rockets.
