I love my BoT and since I installed spoilers on top, I love it even more. If I ever get rid of any of them, it'll be the Radian XL. That's when I'd consider a Lentus as a replacement.

I recently removed the stock livery/decals of my Lentus. Not because I didn't like them, they are fine visually, but I am a sucker for more scale looks. I went with a familiar scheme using the ASW-27 as my inspiration since this model seems to be based off of it. I will post photos tomorrow when it's light out.

Instructions say you need to leave the wingtip stickers on as they add strength?. I bought the kit version when it was on sale for 40% off and I'd say this is my favorite of all time. I fly it on a pretty powerful 3s system (1,000 watts). I did not install the retract landing gear as I think it's unnecessary weight. There's plenty of clearance with the ground if you land with flaps down. This is a great sailplane but the cost will put many off. If you buy the kit version, be prepared to spend a few days assembling it. It's not difficult but it's time consuming.

It's my favorite go-to sailplane for sure. Great model and worth the price, IMO. She loves the ocean.

I had the fox 3000 glider as well, the Lentus at half the weight and having a well designed wing is 10x the sailplane the fox could ever dream of being. You also have the added benefit of the breakaway wings in the event of a cartwheel or other accident. I've only seen multiplex using the breakaway wing system. I've had mine for awhile now and sadly, the foam is starting to yellow a little from exposure to the sun

Yeah my wings are acquiring quite the hangar rash. Lots of dings and knicks I'll need to putty and sand just to keep her a bit fresher looking up close, but certainly isn't affecting flight performance in any way. The Fox was cool in theory - huge scale foam glider - for wow factor but the Lentus knocks it out of the park in just about every category.
