Perhaps you need to set your throttle range:

    1. Turn on your transmitter. After it initializes, move throttle to full.
    2. Connect your plane battery.
    3. After you hear a single beep, move throttle to off.

If you are using Futaba (or other that uses Futaba's direction and value range) You may need to revere throttle and/or increase from default (100%) throttle range to max ATV/Endpoint adjustment values.

Default travel range for JR/Spectrum (and most other brands other than Futaba) is appx 130% of Futaba's default range. JR/Spectrum has 120% as max ATV, Futaba allows up to 150% which comes out about the same max limit as JR/Spektrum's 120%

Most ESCs will initialize with the Futaba default range (if you use the correct direction) But some will not.
