I have a plane that flies just like that - the LX version. But I'm liking the landing gear setup.

Thanks for playing, gentlemen and lady.

    Project Foil, unveiled...

    The two-part answer key:

    1) A Foil is a type of dueling sword, generally akin to a Rapier in proportion and usage (precise stabbing versus wild slashing). So, a precision weapon system. "Rapier" was the original designation for a precision weapon system that eventually became the F-22 Raptor. Thus, Project Foil = F-22 Raptor.
    2) Thin foil made of aluminum is often used as a countermeasure against radar. Thus, Foil = Radar avoiding aircraft = F-22 Raptor.

A precision weapon, that can avoid radar, that was originally called a Rapier (gotta know your aviation history), can only be an F-22.... easy, right? :Silly:

And breaking down each line in the poem I wrote:

And afoul finds feast in boon <--(Target rich environment... it's a fighter)
    Sudden sudden
Blight affliction <--(continuing image of a threat that materializes out of nowhere from above... it's got stealth)
Costly measures lives consume <--(it's an expensive fighter that spanned entire careers)

    Tyrant, tyrant
Clawed constriction <--(continuing imagery of a bird of prey)
Parried for a Sky priced high <--(To parry is to block or counter-attack with a Foil/Rapier/Sword.... for a "Sky" priced high... the "Sky" is Air Superiority.... = Air Superiority Fighter)
    Open field no course correction
    Folly foiled
Its brood rung dry <--(continuing imagery of a bird of prey attacking in an open field and there's nowhere for all its prey to run, because Foil's threat detection and radar can track multiple targets BVR)

Gilded rapture <--("Gilded" alludes to the golden canopy seen in some Raptors, and "Rapture" continues the image of a predator that can pluck people out of nowhere)
    She laid the killers
'Lorn and lost they craned to crave <--(This references the competition for the ATF Program, where other designs were submitted but they all lost what they craved --a multi-billion dollar contract)
Senior Mistress <--("Senior Sky" was the code name for the ATF effort)
Widowed bruiser <--(The Raptor bruised the Widow, i.e. the Black Widow, i.e. the YF-23, i.e. the plane that the Raptor beat to win the ATF Program competition)
    Super skylight
To the nave. <--(The Raptor is a fighter that was/is seen as a core element in America's

    Though active, All
    Onward to the cautious Victor
