I've also tried the 4000, 5000 and the 6000. Virtually no difference in flight characteristics (for me at least) between the 5000 and 6000, but I get 5-7 minutes on the 6000 with plenty of spare battery in case of a go around, unless of course if the entire flight is a "turn and burn" (which looks great especially with the LED afterburners), but still get 4 minutes on that. Even with the weight of the 6000 (Admiral 50C), it still has unlimited climb, floats in on landing at 15-20% throttle and is faster than my week eyes can follow it. The battery bay is easily large enough for just about anything, including a 7000! Outstanding air frame.

I heard they are pretty nice, any change in flight time as well as performance?🤔Originally posted by The Sheriff View PostI use 4000, 4500, and 5000 batteries. I like the 4500. Just picked up a 5200 graphene battery, holy smokes that makes this plane growl. I'll be getting more of those.

Good to know, thank you. From all I’m hearing, it sounds like there is room with this plane to offer several options and it really comes down to personal preference. 👍Originally posted by Hugh Wiedman View PostI've also tried the 4000, 5000 and the 6000. I purchased my Avanti late in the season. Have about 30-40 flights on it with about 5 on that battery. There is definitely an uptick in performance. The other members at the club immeadietly noticed and commented. If I wasn't heavy on the throttle, I'm sure that could be converted into a longer flight time. As it stands 3:30 is when I land with 3.85ish per cell. I've also heard that graphene batteries can be run down further, but I haven't tested that.Originally posted by STRlKER View Post

Zeee graphene 6s lipo. Amazon. $78. They have a 6000mah for a few bucks more. That'll actually be the next one I get. Never tried this brand before, hoping they last.
I also second the opinion that weight doesn't make a huge difference, although that surely depends on flying style. I probably don't see much variation in flight characteristics because I keep the speed up. It still floats in like a champ with some nose up and full flaps even with the extra weight.
