Off topic, but I fly the first take-off 20 min before sunrise and the last landing 20 min after sunset quite a lot. Of the birds in my hangar, the AL-37 hands down has the best LED lighting scheme for these times of day.

    B-2 = OK, PJ-50 = OK, F-4 = OK and P-38 is more than OK. Although past history…the MiG-29 and A-10 were both OK.

Caution - The strobes on the B-2 tips at a distance in dim light create a weird optical illusion of roll/bank movement that she is not actually doing. So, ya gotta ignore the illusion.

This is typically a calm part of the day, and nothing beats the sunrise / sunset view of a B-2 against the eastern/western sky.

Leave the gear down on the AL-37 and come by in a high pass, and you swear she’s a full scale bird. Simply BEAUTIFUL!

I don't think they'll help if you have poor night vision as I have.

Do glow in the dark strips show up in daylight? If you don't fly at dusk or at night, what's the point?

Yeah I was skeptical at first but as it went on it looked promising then in the live stream they turned off all the studio lights and Nada. Not a glow nor a light. I might get the aftermarket ones and bang them in myself

It seems to me that "glow in the dark" sticky take is a really good way to go if that's what an owner really wants. Saves having to run wiring through the foam for actual lights. Personally, I don't really care. I'm not a true "scale" guy.

At the 38th minute on this video he turns out the lights. No glow in the dark...

[QUOTE=Evan D;n366033]What do you mean non functional formation lights?

In the original leak and in the specs they state it has nav lights/strobes plus 4x formation lights (slime lights) there's even gifs and images of them but this is what we should be seeing.

    Notes:

At 0:55 "...out of the box without any decals on the model".... I hope, I think, he meant just the canards and tail.

Ball bearings on the canard shaft...

The red gear door switch is not open/ closed, it's single action (doors stay open with gear extended or dual action (doors close after the gear extend and the open prior to the gear retracting.

The fan/ motor specs he gave are for the 8S version.

New video up of the build. Looks thorough enough. Just wish they would give more info about the non functional formation lights that were advertised previously in the specs.

This completely random, but after watching the Eurofighter maiden video (congratulations!), I noticed a majority of the MotionRC logo on the bottom right of the screen (specifically the "Motion" part) goes completely unseen in the white/gray background of a cloudy sky. Furthermore, if the logo is against a blue sky, some blue portions of the logo appear faded.

If I may make a friendly suggestion, possibly consider outlining the entire logo in Black. Since the flight videos will experience cloudy skies at times and blues skies at other times, this would really help the logo's visibility on the screen, regardless of a white/gray cloudy sky or a blue sky.

Here is a screen shot below of the video to show what I'm talking about.

Motions site recommends the 910g 6000. The 8S set up I use, 5000, is 3oz less than that and I also have 5200 and 6000 8S choices. As I said I'll try it stock and if I want more power I have choices... Good to have choices. :)
