L-39 Albatros Turbine 1720mm (67.7") Wingspan from Black Horse - Balsa Wood ARF - BHM1014-001

The Aero L-39 Albatros, developed by Aero Vodochody of Czechoslovakia, is a highly-capable jet trainer. It is now the world's most widely-used jet trainer, not only for basic and complex pilot training, but also for light-attack missions. Making its first flight in November 1968, it was the first trainer plane to be equipped with a turbofan engine.

The Black Horse L-39 Albatros is a 1720mm wingspan ARF ready to install your turbine power system with up to 8kg of thrust (not included). Built durably with balsa and plywood construction, the L-39 comes pre-covered in heat-shrink film with pre-printed graphics simulating panel lines, rivets and livery detail.
    Factory Weathered Printing

The printing on this model has a realistic weathering complete with rivet and panel line detail that elevates the model to a whole new level of scale appeal.
    Generous Scale Detail

The L-39 comes with loads of scale appeal such as a highly detailed cockpit including painted pilot, ejection seats and gauges.
    Turbine Power

This model is designed for turbine power. Comes ready to install your turbine power system with up to 8kg of thrust (not included).
Electric Retract Gear with Oleo Struts

The electric retractable gear with oleo struts adds extra scale appeal and realism to the model.
    Features:
    • High level of prefabrication right out of the box
    • Lightweight, strong, laser cut balsa and plywood construction
    • Electric retract gear with oleo struts and control box
    • Panel lines and details printed directly onto the pre-applied, high quality covering
    • Airfoiled tail surfaces
    • Recessed hinges on all control surfaces

Would an EDF conversion be possible? Like a 120mm?

        Hello,
I have one and due to weather only one flight.
        Use a JetsMunt 80BL.
The Albatros is a very good Model, but the landinggear is waste.
I'm just change it in one from JP-Hobby.

Does it use all standard servos or what servos are needed? The Viper said all standard but ended up needing smaller servos in elevators and rudder if I remember correctly.

They both take mini servo's through out the whole jet. No standard servo will work unless you modify the main wing servo tray. Don't know why Motion has not changed that.

                Hi,
it is the same gear as for the green Viper.
But the mounting holes do not match. But this is no prblem to drill new.

I just got this check. I was wondering what size turbines people are putting in? It calls for an 80 kg, but that seems a little small

80 turbine will work just fine but a 100 will make this bird move

I was looking at this model, and as much as I love turbines, the flying season for them were i am is too short with burn bans.

Is an EDF conversation on this model possible? And if so what is the largest fan unit that could be placed into this model? I have looked and can get 21lbs of thrust from a 110mm fan unit on 12S. I bwlive thats just under what 100N turbine would produce.
