  • Question on the f15 90mm

So the f15 90mm is called heavy, a pig and all those stuff. But compared to the f22 90mm its only a 100grams heavyer if i read the specs, Is it such a difference? what is making it fly slow/heavy?

Wing loading. F22 has a huge wing.

So does it need more runway aswell? My f22 on my field is sometimes on the edge when it comes to takeoffs if there is no wind.

I have the new version F15 HP use take off flaps have no issue taking off from a grass field with field to spare. She flies excellent sounds amazing with top notch landing gear, I own the 90mm J10 also and to me the F15 is much easier to land on our bumpy grass field. Only down side is DO NOT try to high alpha the F15 she doesn’t like that. Very very forgiving plane otherwise

Thank you for the info! I have a +-75m runway, its basicly a big cloth on top of grass. So it is very bumpy but smooth enough to get some speed.

Thanks for the high-alfa tip. Will not try that one, haha.
