Who is Mirce Models and where can I see their catalog?
Never mind, I will look these guys up.
Great looking project.
More pictures as you progress, please.

Not a problem, I found their website.
Big beautiful turbine kits, just a bit beyond my flying abilities I'm afraid.
I'd love to build one, though.
Do you sheet and glass the airframe?
Post pictures as you are able, super project.

That’s them LB! Thanks for posting that. I don’t know why I couldn’t get it to post, but it sure didn’t like
it.lol
Another club member is building the 1/4 scale version, and he’s putting a turbine in that thang!
You’re correct on the sheet balsa to finish and I’ll be using my own technique with SIG Koverall and the Minwax Polycryllic over the balsa. It will be an ARF at that point as all the structures are designed around currently available gear and engine components. Not certain on the final finish yet, but narrowing it down to some unique examples.
A Schuebler 120mm fEDF an and Spektrum radio receiver are both to be used.

Benn sometime since I posted, so here’s a brief update. Been focusing on the Corsair (with the Motion RC guts) Top Flight giant scale, but I’ll do that in the thread.
I’ve inherited the 1/4 scale version of this bird to build, as the owner who got mine and his shipped over from Serbia, sadly passed on. He’s sadly missed at the club, but many of his models still shine in the pattern and on the ramp.
Once I get back on task with this one, I’ll likely keep them on pace with each other, despite the size differences. Mine is the 1/6 scale version and is ready for sheeting.
Enjoy and I’ll look forward to your comments and questions.5 Photos
