I think with a wide open area to fly it's a lot less stressful to fly and land. I am so stressed and absorbed with WHERE I am flying her that I think it takes something away from focusing completely on the jet itself, especially the landing sequence. I just wish I didn't have houses and tall trees under the base leg. Although I admit I do like a challenge. Now that my Cortex and CG is working for me it should be a lot smoother from her on out. Just need to trust that she WANTS to land easy even with a high approach. Gotta trust my stick skills AND that I have enough roll out room. Looks like rain this weekend so she will have to stay nice and in one piece in the hangar while my ego has to wait another week for redemption.

    LOL

Said it before and it's worth repeating. Stunning job on that livery! Turned out fantastic! Now you have your hands full with your rebuild. How's that going?
I'm here too! Although I do get crossed in what I posted here and on RCG. :-)

Okay not surprising I guess but I have had a change of heart. I took her off the market. I am keeping her. I fixed the nose gear and all she needs now is a couple cosmetic pieces and she is as good as new. Yes, I know, it still doesn't solve the problem of where I fly and my associated stress levels but I cannot in good conscience sell this bird for $600 bucks even though I have a willing buyer. I am going to keep her and forge ever-forward. I WILL figure out a better flying spot even if that means a couple hours away.

                  YAY!!!
Theres got to be somewhere you can fly this sensibly within a couple of hours drive. If there really isn't, keep her and make special trips to a nice proper club with a decent runway once every couple of months, maybe even make a weekend of it, camp out, take the missus, have some fun. Thats gotta be better getting the jet itch scratched once every couple of months, than not at all? :f16

Agreed Porkster! Even if it means only flying her once every couple of months as long as it means in a place that is conducive to flying this jet versus flying weekly in a place that is not, well...There ya go.
