Sure was...it was a hot day and the Soy Bean plants are thick and tough as well as chest high.Originally posted by rifleman_btx View PostYeah that would be hell to find for sure
I tried using the game trails and farmer trails out there but a few times I had to carefully wade thru the morass.
It is like wading thru quick sand.
At one point my legs started cramping and I thought I was getting heat stroke or something.
Also, I think every reptile and insect species lives in that field...got mosquito bites on my back and arms.
The foam was on its last leg anyway, but man....the RX, battery, and servo's that were lost really stinks.

I never got to fly it as there was a "Flying Wing" racing event going on at my club field.Originally posted by RRHandy View PostI flew my silver Ponchito today, didn't see that the nose gear didn't come down on the third flight and landed, stopped real fast, I have it fixed already thou. How did yours fly? Ron
So after eating 2 Hot Dogs, watching the racing and picking the brains of the old timers, I went home to work on my other FMS jet so I can take them both tomorrow to my clubs flying field, as there is no events tomorrow to keep me from flying.
Please see my thread regarding my FMS T-35 GOSHAWK, I cannot seem to get the new EC5 plugs soldered.

The thing is I am soldering an EC5 connector on the ESC end, not the battery end.Originally posted by Hemidoo View Post
That is why I have no room to work with, as the wires are very short from the ESC and I have to do the soldering inside the foam cavity.

Well, I tried to maiden the FMS B-25 Mitchell again, but I think I need to upgrade the nose gear.
When the plane first begins to move, it veers to the right, and then when I try to get it straight it goes to far to the left.
Basically, every single time no matter what I try, it does a very hard"S" turn, first right then left.
When I examine the nose gear I notice two things.
First, it is already starting to bend or shift backwards slightly.
Second, although there is a little bit of play, the nose gear does turn left and right.
It does this on pavement and short cropped grass.
Not sure what to do at this point.

Put 40% expo on your rudder, it will tame down the ground handling.Originally posted by chipset35 View PostWell, I tried to maiden the FMS B-25 Mitchell again, but I think I need to upgrade the nose gear.
