Thanks SkyWolf...yes, mains touch...I've lost count after 200+ flights with this A-10, I'm retired now and from wed-thur this week, i setup my camper at the club field. 10 flights on her Wed and 9 Thur...when i got this plane , 1st preorder, i thought..well, may as well order some spare mains...Well, those spares are still hanging on my peg board. I did have to tighten some grub screws yesterday on the right main.

I am! Just don't have the confidence in my skill set yet. I use the UAV Forecast app to keep track of local winds. With the settings it'll let me know (yes/no) if it's safe to fly by the hours. I also like that it gives me the wind speeds at upper elevations as well, but I digress. Have my perimeters set to 7mph gusts right now. If I see red in the 'safe to fly' column, this novice arse stays grounded! Until my skills improve... :(

You will get there, once you get there it gets to be fun, even with higher wind! The wind today was gusting between 15-20mph

Laser variant. Production of the laser Maverick is ramping back up, as the Air Force wanted a precision weapon capable of hitting moving targets that would quickly and easily integrate into existing aircraft. Since many of the service planes had already been certified for older variant Mavericks, arming with laser Maverick was a quick adaptation. Given that the Maverick line is over 40 years old, it's also a reasonably economic system (not quite as cheap as Paveway GBU's, but Paveway is primarily for stationary targets).

Sportsman's a fun plane! Dad has one his brother left behind when he went home from vacation year b4 last. We still fly it every week. Has yours ever glitched & flown into stuff on auto pilot? His has 3 times. We finally figured out toggling the mode switch gets it back every time.
